Tuesday, 25 September 2007: The two-year wait for Department of Education recognition for Mol an Óige School has brought a group of students, parents and teachers to the steps of the Dáil Éireann. On Wednesday, 26 September 2007, the group will be demonstrating in Dublin to draw attention to the long-running campaign for State recognition for the school.

Mol an Óige Primary School opened its doors in Ennistymon, County Clare, in September 2005. Formed by a group of local parents and teachers keen to educate their children using the Steiner-Waldorf method, the school aims to cover the Irish primary school curriculum in a creative yet practical way.

The school is currently situated beside the childcare centre at Data Display, Ennistymon. Two full-time and two part-time class teachers are employed as well as a full-time classroom assistant and three individual subject teachers. There are currently more than 40 pupils attending the school. The school has begun the application process for Department of Education funding for September 2007.
